Welingkar Experience

On Monday,7`th July, 2008, there came a new beginning in my life. My Part-Time MBA(MHRDM) kickstarted. My Dream to start an MBA shaped into reality.

I entered the 171000 sq ft Welingkar campus with mixed emotions. I was happy, ecstasic, emotional, anxious and almost half brain dead in all this excitment. I stopped at the main entrance and looked at the main gate. It read "S.P, Mandalis - Welingkar Institute of Management, Development and Research". With my heart pounding to a thousand beats, I knew that I had called in for a huge responisbilty. Ya, studying in the 12th best B-School is certainly one hell of a task. I knew my choice was correct.

I entered the gate anf I was guided by the Seniors to an Auditorium, a massive room with a capacity to accomodate 200+ students. Here I am, happy to see Ritesh, who was a stranger but was my neighbour during my tests as well as GD. We were surprised at the fact that we both had got selected. This Auditorium has 3 Projector-screens. They were screening some news channel from Network-18 group. After few anxious minutes, there arrived a convoy of some senior people. They were the team of Dr.Uday Salunkhe (Director - WIMDR) including Dr.Uday Salunkhe himself.

The event started with the Lighting of the Sacred Diya. We had very nice and motivational AV`s displayed during the course of a Session taken by Dr.Uday Salunkhe. I liked the one on "Passion" because it was designed on Sports achievers ;).

We had professors speaking on Innovation, Passion, Integrity, Design Thinking, Right Attiutde, Zealous Nature, Mind Maps.

Overall, it was a one of its own kind of experience. I left the auditorium with a promise to myself that I will give 100% to take the most of this course.
